This disclaimer sets out the limits of the information published on SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org). The site is an independent heritage archive and guide to SJCE Mysuru, engineering education and student life in Mysuru, operated by SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org). It is not the official website of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) or JSS Mahavidyapeetha. Nothing here should be read as an official statement by any of them, or by any government or examination authority.

Non-affiliation notice

The domain sjcemysore.org was once used by Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysuru. Since the college became part of JSS Science and Technology University, which began functioning in the 2016–17 academic year, the institution has used its own university website. SJCE Mysore is now an independent project. We do not represent, speak for or act on behalf of:

• Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysuru;
• JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU), Mysuru;
• JSS Mahavidyapeetha or any of its institutions;
• Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), the University of Mysore or any other university;
• the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), COMEDK, AICTE, UGC, the National Board of Accreditation, the Ministry of Education or the World Bank.

We use names, abbreviations and historical facts about these bodies only to identify them, record their history and help readers find official information. Any trademarks, logos or names belong to their respective owners, and their use here does not imply endorsement.

General information only

The articles, guides, timelines, FAQs and checklists on this site are general information for engineering aspirants, parents, students, alumni and anyone interested in Mysuru’s educational heritage. They are not:

• official admission, counselling or examination advice;
• legal, financial, tax, immigration or medical advice;
• a substitute for the information bulletins, brochures and notifications issued by the competent authorities.

You are responsible for the decisions you make. Before you act on anything you read here, such as choosing a branch, entering options in counselling, paying a fee or signing a rental agreement in Mysuru, check the current official sources and, where needed, get advice from a qualified professional.

Accuracy and timeliness

We take reasonable care to make our content accurate. Our Editorial Policy describes how we use primary sources and fact-check. Even so:

• admission procedures, eligibility criteria, reservation rules, fees and cut-offs are revised every year, sometimes at short notice;
• institutional details, such as departments, programme names, intake and facilities, change over time;
• costs of living in Mysuru, including rent, food and transport, vary widely and change with inflation;
• errors can occur despite our checks.

Heritage and archived content

Part of this site preserves and organises information that appeared on SJCE’s website around 2014, together with other historical material about the college. This content:

• is published for historical, educational and reference purposes;
• is labelled with the period it describes wherever practical;
• describes the institution as it was at that time. Names of departments, people’s roles, contact details, programme structures, statistics and facilities may have changed completely since then;
• must not be relied on as current information or used to contact present-day staff.

Old phone numbers, email addresses or postal addresses that appear in archived material are kept only for historical completeness and may no longer be valid. Do not use them for official correspondence.

Paid services: no guaranteed outcomes

SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org) offers independent paid services, described on our services page. These are our own services. They are not offered by any college or university, and:

• the admission counselling session provides guidance only and cannot guarantee a seat, college or branch. We have no role in seat allotment and no influence over it;
• the placement readiness bootcamp cannot guarantee shortlisting, job offers or salary levels;
• the research paper mentoring cannot guarantee acceptance by any journal or conference, and we do not ghost-write;
• the GATE preparation starter kit cannot guarantee any score, rank or admission;
• the IoT engineering project kit is for learning purposes. Results depend on correct assembly and use, and it must not be used for safety-critical, medical or mains-voltage applications;
• the Mysuru campus & heritage tour covers public areas only. Access to particular places may change at short notice because of rules set by their authorities.

Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort, exam performance, competition, institutional decisions and market conditions.

Testimonials, statistics and reviews

We do not publish fabricated testimonials, invented success rates or made-up statistics. Any figure we quote comes from a cited source. If we ever publish genuine customer feedback, it will be real, used with permission and not edited to change its meaning. It will not mean that you will get similar results.
