Please read them carefully. By browsing the site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. SJCE Mysore is an independent information resource. It is not the official website of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) or JSS Mahavidyapeetha, and it is not endorsed by them.

  • Operator: SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org), Mysuru, Karnataka, India. Email hello@sjcemysore.org, phone (phone available on request via the contact form).
  • Not official: nothing on this site is an official notice of any college, university or government body.
  • Services: admission counselling, a placement bootcamp, a heritage walking tour, research mentoring, a digital GATE starter kit and a physical IoT project kit, all sold by us and not by any institution.
  • Prices: in Indian Rupees (INR), as shown at checkout, with applicable taxes indicated.
  • No guaranteed outcomes: we do not guarantee admissions, seat allotments, placements, GATE scores or publication.
  • Governing law: India (courts of Mysuru, Karnataka).

1. Definitions

  • “Site” means sjcemysore.org and all its pages, including the article library, heritage archive and shop.
  • “We”, “us”, “our” and “Operator” mean SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org).
  • “You” and “User” mean anyone who visits the site or buys from us. Where a parent or guardian buys for a minor, “you” includes both of them.
  • “Services” means the paid offerings listed on /services/, whether digital, physical or live.
  • “Content” means the text, guides, compilations, graphics, layouts and other material on the site.

2. Independent status and non-affiliation

The domain sjcemysore.org once hosted SJCE’s website. Today it is run by SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org) as an independent heritage archive and guide. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by SJCE, JSS STU, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Visvesvaraya Technological University, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), COMEDK, AICTE or any other institution or authority. References to those bodies are for identification, history and information only. Their names, logos and marks belong to their respective owners.

For official and current information on admissions, fees, seat matrices, examinations, results, certificates and notices, always use the official sources, such as JSS STU at jssstuniv.in, KEA at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea and COMEDK at comedk.org. Never pay an admission fee, capitation, donation or “seat booking” amount to us or to anyone claiming to act for this site. We do not sell seats and cannot influence any allotment.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to buy from us. Users under 18 may browse the site, but purchases must be made by a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these terms and consents to the processing of the minor’s data as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • If you create an account, give accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@sjcemysore.org if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • We may suspend or close accounts used for fraud, abuse, scraping, attacks on the site or breaches of these terms.

4. Acceptable use

When you use the site, you agree not to:

  • break any applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, accounts or database, or interfere with its security features, including the Wordfence firewall and other security tools;
  • run automated scraping, bulk downloading, vulnerability scanning or denial-of-service activity against the site;
  • submit spam, malware, unlawful, defamatory, obscene or infringing material through the contact form or any other channel;
  • impersonate any person or institution, or misrepresent your connection with SJCE, JSS STU or us;
  • present our content as an official notice of any institution, or use it to mislead admission seekers;
  • resell, share or publicly distribute paid materials, such as the GATE starter kit or bootcamp recordings, without our written permission.

5. Content, accuracy and the heritage archive

We research our articles carefully and fact-check them, as described in our Editorial Policy, but they are general information and not professional, legal or official advice. Admission rules, cut-offs, fees and procedures change every year. Always confirm with the latest official notification before making a decision. Heritage material reflects information as it stood at the time indicated, for example the college’s website as archived in 2014. It is kept for historical interest and may no longer be accurate. Our full position is set out in the Disclaimer.

6. Intellectual property

  • Our content: unless stated otherwise, the original text, compilations, design and paid materials on this site are owned by or licensed to SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org) and protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and international copyright law. You may read, print or save a page for personal, non-commercial use, and quote short extracts with a credit and a link to the source page. Any other reproduction needs our written permission.
  • Third-party material: some images come from Wikimedia Commons or other sources under Creative Commons or public-domain terms. They are credited to their authors and remain subject to their own licences, which take precedence over these terms for that material.
  • Historical material: institutional names, logos and historical text belong to their respective owners. We reproduce or summarise them for archival, educational, commentary and reference purposes. Rights holders who object can contact us under our DMCA & Copyright Policy.
  • Paid materials: buying a digital kit, bootcamp access or session notes gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own preparation. Ownership of the intellectual property stays with us.

7.1 What our services are not

  • Counselling is independent guidance based on public information and your preferences. It is not a seat booking, not an official KEA or COMEDK service, and not a guarantee of any college, branch or seat. You are solely responsible for registering, entering options, paying fees and meeting deadlines on the official portals.
  • The bootcamp builds skills for campus placements. It does not guarantee interviews, offers or salary levels, and we are not a placement agency.
  • The heritage tour visits public spaces in Mysuru and publicly accessible areas around the campus only. It does not include entry to restricted academic buildings, hostels, labs or events. It is not organised or approved by the university, and participants must follow any rules set by campus authorities.
  • Research mentoring covers structure, methodology, writing clarity and the publication process. We do not write papers or theses for you, ghost-write, fabricate data, or guarantee acceptance by any journal or conference. We will decline any request that would amount to academic misconduct.
  • The GATE starter kit is a study aid. It is not affiliated with the organising IIT or the GATE committee, and it does not guarantee a score or rank.
  • The IoT project kit is for educational use under supervision where appropriate. It is not for safety-critical, medical or mains-voltage applications.

7.2 Scheduling and conduct in live sessions

Session dates and times are confirmed by email after booking, in Indian Standard Time (IST). Please join on time. A session that starts late because you joined late may not be extended. We may reschedule because of illness, emergencies, technical failure or, for the tour, unsafe weather or public-order conditions. If we do, we will offer you a new slot or a refund under the Refund Policy. Participants must behave respectfully. We may remove anyone who harasses others, disrupts a session or records it without permission, and that person will not receive a refund.

8. Orders, pricing and payment

  • Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). Each product page shows the price, and the checkout shows the total, including any applicable taxes such as GST and any shipping charges, before you pay. Visitors outside India pay in INR, and their bank may apply currency conversion or international transaction charges.
  • Order acceptance: an order is accepted when we send an order confirmation email or deliver the product. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if there is an obvious pricing error, the item is unavailable, we suspect fraud, or the order breaches these terms.
  • Payment methods: online payment through third-party payment gateways (card, UPI, net banking or wallets, as offered at checkout); offline bank transfer, where offered, in which case the order is processed after the funds reach our account; and cash on delivery, where offered and only for physical kits to eligible PIN codes. A payment gateway may decline a transaction for its own reasons, and we are not responsible for that.
  • Invoices: a tax invoice or receipt is issued in line with applicable law and is available by email or in your account.
  • Security of payment: we never ask for your card PIN, CVV, UPI PIN or OTP by phone, email or chat. If anyone does in our name, it is fraud. Report it to hello@sjcemysore.org.

9. Delivery

Digital products are delivered as a download link on the order confirmation page, by email and in My Account. Physical kits are shipped within India only. Live services are delivered on scheduled dates. Full details are in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

10. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, returns and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the laws of your country of residence.

The site links to official portals, sources and references we do not control, and checkout relies on third-party payment gateways and couriers. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices. When you use them, their own terms and privacy policies apply.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and its free content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Paid services will be provided with reasonable care and skill and as described on their product pages. This clause does not exclude any warranty or condition that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of an admission opportunity, seat, job offer, scholarship, academic credit, data or profit, arising from your use of the site or its content or from any decision you make based on them;
  • our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service;
  • we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, government action, strikes, internet or power outages, failures of payment gateways or couriers, or cyber-attacks despite reasonable safeguards.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org) against reasonable losses, costs and claims, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site or paid materials, or your infringement of any third party’s rights.

15. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies. They form part of these terms.

16. E-commerce disclosures (India)

In line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, we state the following:

  • the seller of all services and products on this site is SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org), Mysuru, Karnataka, India;
  • the total price, the break-up of charges, delivery terms, and return, refund and cancellation terms are shown on each product page and at checkout;
  • we do not manipulate prices, use fake reviews or post fabricated testimonials;
  • a Grievance Officer has been appointed. Their details are below.

17. Grievance Officer and complaints

Grievance Officer — SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org)

  • Address: Mysuru, Karnataka, India
  • Email: hello@sjcemysore.org (subject line: “Grievance”)
  • Phone: (phone available on request via the contact form)

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month of receipt. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the National Consumer Helpline, the appropriate Consumer Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or, for personal data matters, the Data Protection Board of India.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India (courts of Mysuru, Karnataka). We will first try to resolve any dispute in good faith through the grievance process above. If that fails, the dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts or consumer commissions for the operator’s place of business in India (courts of Mysuru, Karnataka). This does not affect any mandatory right you have, as a consumer, to bring proceedings where you live.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add services or the law changes. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. The “last updated” date shows the current version. If you continue to use the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

20. General

  • If any provision is found invalid, the rest of the terms remain in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to a successor operator who agrees to honour them.
  • These terms, together with the policies they refer to, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site and our services.

21. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@sjcemysore.org or posted to SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org), Mysuru, Karnataka, India. You can also use our contact page.
