About this website
Is this the official website of SJCE or JSS Science and Technology University?
No. SJCE Mysore is an independent information resource run by SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org). The domain sjcemysore.org used to host SJCE’s website, but it is now independent and has no affiliation with, or endorsement from, SJCE, JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) or JSS Mahavidyapeetha. For official information, visit jssstuniv.in. Read more on our About us page.
Why does an independent site use the old sjcemysore.org domain?
To preserve the college’s heritage responsibly. The domain carried years of institutional information, and old links to it still circulate in alumni networks, citations and bookmarks. We keep a clearly labelled archive of what the site said around 2014 and add new, independently researched guides. We make clear that this is not the official site and point visitors to the university’s official website.
Can you help me get my transcript, marks card, degree certificate or other official document?
No. We are not part of the university and cannot issue, verify or request official documents. Please contact JSS Science and Technology University through the official channels listed on jssstuniv.in. Contact details that appear in our archive pages are historical and may no longer work.
How accurate is the information on this site?
We use primary sources, such as official notifications, Acts and institutional reports, and a human editor fact-checks every page before it is published. Even so, admissions rules, fees and cut-offs change every year, and archive content describes the past. Always confirm current details with the latest official notification. If you find an error, email hello@sjcemysore.org with the subject “Correction”. Our process is explained in the Editorial Policy.
Do you use AI to write articles?
AI tools may help with drafting, summarising or editing. However, every article is reviewed, fact-checked and approved by a human editor before publication. We never use AI as a source of facts, and we never invent quotes, people, statistics or testimonials. See the AI disclosure in our Editorial Policy.
Does the site track me or show ads?
No. There are no advertising networks, social trackers or analytics by default, and all fonts and assets are self-hosted. The only cookies set are those needed for login, the shop cart, security and remembering your cookie choice. Dark mode, text size and your reading list are saved only in your own browser. Details are in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Our services
Who provides the paid services on this site?
SJCE Mysore (sjcemysore.org), the independent operator of this site. They are not provided by, approved by or connected to SJCE or JSS STU. Each service is described on its own page under Services, with prices in Indian Rupees (INR).
Can the admission counselling session guarantee me a seat at JSS STU or any other college?
No. Nobody outside the official process can guarantee a seat. Seats are allotted by KEA and COMEDK according to rank, category and the options you enter. Our counselling session helps you understand the process and think through your choices. We never sell seats or accept “booking amounts”. If anyone asks you for money to “confirm” a seat in our name, it is fraud.
How are digital, physical and live services delivered?
The GATE starter kit is a download that becomes available as soon as your payment is confirmed. The IoT project kit is shipped by courier within India, usually dispatched within 2–4 working days. Counselling, mentoring, the bootcamp and the heritage tour take place on scheduled dates, and the joining details are emailed in advance. See the Shipping & Delivery Policy.
What is your refund policy?
In short: the digital kit is refundable within 7 days if you have not downloaded it. Damaged or defective IoT kits must be reported within 48 hours of delivery for a replacement, and unused kits can be returned within 7 days. Live sessions are fully refundable if you cancel at least 72 hours in advance. If we cancel, you always get a full refund or a free reschedule. The full terms are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Does the heritage tour go inside university buildings?
No. The Mysuru campus & heritage tour covers Mysuru’s heritage sites and publicly accessible areas around the campus only. It does not enter classrooms, laboratories, hostels or other restricted areas. It is not organised by the university, and participants must follow any rules set by campus authorities.
SJCE history
When was SJCE founded, and by whom?
Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering was started in 1963 under JSS Mahavidyapeetha, inspired by Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji of Suttur Math, and was inaugurated by Dr. T. M. A. Pai. It became autonomous from 2007–08 and has formed the core of JSS Science and Technology University since that university began functioning in 2016–17. See our History page and the full article on SJCE from 1963 to JSS STU.
What was SJCE’s role in TEQIP?
SJCE was selected for the first phase of the World Bank–supported Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), was selected again for the second phase, and later received TEQIP-III grants. The college used the funds for faculty development, laboratories and institutional reforms. Our TEQIP page and the explainer TEQIP: how the World Bank–backed programme changed Indian engineering colleges cover this in more depth.
Admissions pointers
How do I get admission to B.E./B.Tech at JSS STU, and where should I check fees and cut-offs?
Undergraduate engineering admission in Karnataka is usually through KCET counselling run by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, through COMEDK UGET, or through the university’s own admission routes, as notified each year. Fees, seat matrices, eligibility and cut-offs change every year, so always check the latest information bulletin and the university’s official site at jssstuniv.in. Our admissions guide explains how the process works in general.
